‘Scots’ is just the southern Scottish dialect written phonetically. The phonetic spelling isn’t that old either, I believe it was invented in the first half of the 20th century- so a hundred years ago or less. Hardly ‘Old English’. The actual Scots- the Scotti, my ancestors- were Gaelic speakers who came from Ireland. They wouldn’t have understood ‘Scots’ if you wrapped it round a haggis and shoved it up their kilts.

My neighbour keeps referring to us as best friends. A taxi driver recently even told said ‘you can tell you two are sisters! You look so similar’. Im 38 years old, was diagnosed with dyscalculia when i was in elementer school. But i they did not help me, well i was taken out of class, but in the 90's i was considered dumb by teachers, so they just gave up on me. It is a struggle to have dyscalculia. Becouse you need math in a lot of jobs.
